In the Potterverse's list of magical objects, the Remembrall ranks up high as the most useless item.
So naturally, I built one.
- Calliope mini (incl. battery)
- KY 017 Sensor Module
- 3 or 4 Pin Grove to female jumper conversion cable
- heat shrink tube
- plastic globe (incl. fitting plate), Ø 10 cm
- transparent rubber band
- golden tape
- silver (or white) gloss paint marker (Edding 750 creative)
Use Calliope's right Grove connector A1 (bottom to top): GND, +3V3, C17, C16.
Here's a handy overview. Scroll down for schematics. Connect the ends of the femal jumper cable to the pins as follows:
The code is neither complex nor sophisticated. There are still bugs, like the necessity to reset the Calliope mini. The sensor always seems to signal. Bugger. Any help or suggestions, as well as corrections in the comment section are being greatly appreciated.
Flash the code directly to the Calliope mini via USB-to-MicroUSB cable. Press the reset button. Close the lid, turn the Remembrall in your hand and enjoy the feeling of forgetfulness.
Here's a short video of the first try-out.
I'd like to build a Raspberry Pi Zero W version and get something out of the Twitter API.
